A nice classic gondola phone from the 1980s. It similar to but not a direct copy of the Styleline and Trimline phones from the USA. Outside the Netherlands it was sold as the Spotlight under the Mybelle brand, as the Conairphone, the Luminophone and undoubtetly many other names.
The Profoon version was only made in clear plastic, with coloured accents in Memphis style colours, giving it a very 1980s vibe. Colours may vary as may the paper label. There is also a version with black accents.
As far as I know the Profoon TX-129 version was specifically sold to the Dutch market. Profoon was mainly known for its low priced electronic telephones. Some were normal office phones, but they sold novelty phones as well. Most of the phones were their own designs, but they did market designs from others too, branded as their own. This TX-129 seems to be one of the latter.
The TX-129 was made from the late 80s till at least the early 90s. Got mine at a collectors fair. It is not rare, but I got it cheap.
It has a P-T button and a switch for the ringer. Inside are small neon bulbs that light up when the phone rings, even when the ringer is turned off. Mine has original cords, luckily. The label was missing, so I made a new one. One of the rubber feet was missing, so I had to make a replacement. Nice find, if I say so myself.
