Introduced in the late 80s, this was the first design model offered by the Bundespost. It is a one piece telephone, with the hookswitch as a button on the underside.
It is a very distinct design, all electronic telephone, that could also be used hands free.
The letter K stands for Kompakt (compact).
It was available in a range of colours, among which are black and red.
